We were fortunate to be invited to the 2014 Film Society of the Year Awards this week by Cinema For All (formerly the British Federation of Film Societies).
This event is held annually to recognise and celebrate the achievements of film societies and community cinemas throughout the UK.
This year the awards were guest-presented by Danny Leigh, co-presenter of BBC’s Film 2014. However, an appearance from Steve Coogan was the icing on the cake. It’s great to know that Cinema For All have the love and support of such great names.
The event was rounded off by drinks and dancing (some earlier than others) in the Workstation, Sheffield, which also housed an exhibition to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Film Society of the Year Awards.
We’d like to congratulate all the winners this year and hope to see them at future awards.
We are currently designing the new Cinema For All website so we’ll keep you posted.
